Named for a station on an asteroid in this system's outer asteroid belt, Brahmaghosa was colonized only about 150 years ago (very recent relative to human interstellar travel, which has existed for a millennium, and even to the collapse of the Terran Mandate, which is almost 6 centuries in the past) by a venture from the neighboring Tambov system. The venture sought to exploit the valuable resources of the Brahmaghosa system, but it had to be abandoned when an AI took control of the mining operations and began eradicating all organic sophonts in the system. It's not known where the AI originated or how it seized control, but it maintains a strict interdiction of the system to this day.
